Section 1

General regulations

 

Article 1 The name of the group is Library and Information Science Lecturers Group. And the abbreviations used are LIS.

Article 2 The club's sign is an oval. Inside the oval there is a picture of the book that is opened to read and shows the message Library and Information Science Lecturers Group.

Article 3 The location of the club's office is the office in which the club president is operating.

 

Section 2

Objective

 

Article 4 The objective of the club is to

4.1 To promote unity and mutual help among members.

4.2 To promote and disseminate the Library and Information Science professions in the country and abroad.

4.3 To promote and develop the professional practice and status of professionals in Library and Information Science.

4.4 To promote professional use for social services. Developing a society of reading and learning in various institutions.

 

Section 3

Membership

 

Article 5 Membership type

Members of the club are two types: ordinary members and honorary members.

5.1 Ordinary members are who that the Library Association of Thailand accepts as members and choose the LIS club to be a member of the club.

5.2 Honorary members are who that the club's board of directors considers that have qualifications and suitability to be invited to become a member.

 

Article 6 The rights and duties of members

6.1 Members have rights and duties in accordance with the rights of being a member of the Library Association of Thailand.

6.2 Members have the right to benefit from the Library Association of Thailand and the club. As defined.

6.3 Members have the right to attend general meetings, seminars and activities organized by the Library Association of Thailand and the club.

6.4 Members have a duty to comply with regulations of the Library Association of Thailand and the club.

 

Article 7 Membership Termination

Members will be terminated from membership when

7.1 Death

7.2 Resignation

7.3 Misconduct which brings damage to membership or not following the regulations of the Library Association of Thailand and the club.

 

Section 4

Club Management

 

Article 8 Board

8.1 Establishing a management committee consisting of not more than 15 people, consisting of the president and vice-president, treasurer, secretary, assistant secretary.

8.2 The president and vice president of the club are to select the treasurer, secretary and assistant secretary as appropriate.

8.3 The president, vice president and executive committee of the club hold office for 2 years each term and may be re-elected to the board of directors.

 

Article 9 Authority and duties of the Executive Committee

9.1 Set policies without violating the objectives of the Library Association of Thailand and the Association.

9.2 Management of the club according to the club's policies and objectives.

9.3 Issuing regulations regarding club operations.

9.4 Appointing a person as a committee advisor to the sub-committee to join the affairs of the club and has the power to withdraw as he deems appropriate.

9.5 Consider inviting individuals to become honorary members or consultants as appropriate.

 

Article 10 Operation

10.1 The chairman and the club president are chairmen. If the vice chairman is not present at the meeting, consider selecting other committee members to perform the duties on their behalf.

10.2 The committee shall conduct the meeting at least once a month. To discuss and consider various problems regarding the club's business.

Section 5

Meeting

 

Article 12 Quorum

Club Executive Committee of the quorum of the Executive Committee. must attend at least half of the meetings. Resolution of the meeting to proceed as majority If the votes are equal, the Chairman will have a casting vote.

 

Article 13 There shall be an annual general meeting held once a year. The club's board of directors has set a meeting date and notifies members at least 15 days before the meeting date. By specifying the meeting location as appropriate.

 

Article 14 Major quorum

Annual general meeting must have members to attend not less than Thirty percent of the total number of members will be considered a quorum. The resolution of the meeting shall be by majority votes of the members attending the meeting.

 

Article 15 If the first meeting does not constitute a quorum, the secretary shall convene the second meeting. By notifying members within 10 days from the date of the first meeting In this second meeting, regardless of the number of members attending the meeting, it is considered a quorum.

Article 16 Extraordinary meeting

Extraordinary meetings must have members not less than thirty percent of the total number of members. It will be considered a quorum and can be done in the following cases.

16.1 The Executive Committee deems appropriate to hold an extraordinary meeting.

16.2 When at least 10 members are requested to name and inform the meeting objectives The board of directors shall convene the meeting within 15 days from the date of receiving the said request.

16.3 Extraordinary meetings shall proceed in accordance with the procedures specified in the general meeting.

 

Section 6

Financial and Property

 

Article 17 Club income

The club earns money for the following operations and activities.

17.1 Membership fees that have been allocated from the Library Association of Thailand.

17.2 Money or assets helping and donating.

17.3 Revenue from other activities that the club provided.

 

Article 18 Club accounts

All types of money of the club must be deposited with the bank in the name of the club by the board of directors of the club agreed to only one place. In which the president or vice-president and treasurer are the persons who sign the withdrawal.

 

Article 19 Power of payment

19.1 The president of the club has the power to approve the obligation to pay for the club's business according to the objectives of not more than 5,000 baht at a time. If more than that, ask for approval from the committee.

19.2 The treasurer has the power to keep cash within responsibility of not more than 3,000 baht. In case of necessity, advance can be made up to 5,000 baht at a time and then proposed for Approved to the club president.

19.3 Payment must have the signature of the club president or vice president and treasurer.

19.4 The secretary is responsible for the survey prepare the inventory of the club to propose to the chairman before every annual general meeting. Which shall comply with the government's warehousing regulations.

19.5 Financial evidence must be kept for not less than 5 years.

 

Section 7

Enforcement and Amendments to Regulations

 

Article 20 This club regulations shall come into force next to the date of the 2014 Annual General Meeting onwards and the old regulations for amendments or amendments shall be repealed. Shall be effective after the general or extraordinary general meeting onwards.

Article 21 Amendments or amendments to these regulations can be made by a resolution of the general meeting, whether it is an ordinary meeting or an extraordinary meeting. And must be approved by a vote of not less than two-thirds of the total number of members present at the meeting.

Section 8

Termination of the club

Article 22 The club may stop operating due to the following reasons

22.1 When the general meeting of the club has a small resolution.

22.2 The Executive Committee of the Library Association of Thailand has resolved to dismiss with no less than two-thirds of the total number of executive directors.

22.3 The Library Association of Thailand ceases its business.

Article 23 In the event that the club must be abolished in any case, all remaining assets have been liquidated. Transferred to the Library Association of Thailand.

 

Section 9

Transitional Provisions

 

Article 24 Ordinary and honorary members under the previous regulations shall continue to be members under this regulation. And the general meeting to select the club management committee by starting the term in accordance with this regulation from the date of the 2014 general meeting onwards.
